Crafting a baby registry is an essential element of preparing for impending parenthood — as much a part of the process as choosing a nursery theme and figuring out how to assemble furniture from illustrated-only instructions. It’s a great way to help out your friends and family who might want to share their excitement over the imminent arrival of the new tiny person you are creating by giving a gift. By registering, it lets well-wishers know exactly what you’d like and see what you’ve already received, hopefully preventing you from being the recipient of 13 nasal aspirators. It’s especially helpful to create a registry if someone will be throwing you a baby shower.

I received samples from Product of the Year to facilitate the following post.
Every February, Product of the Year announces its annual winners. I’ve been blessed in the past to receive the 2015 winning products (see 2015 POY winners), and this year I was asked again to check out the winning items.
So what is Product of the Year and how are these products deemed best of the best for 2017? Each year, innovative products are nominated and then placed into categories such as beauty, personal care, household essentials, food and beverages. They are then assessed on seven key measures. One product is the winner of each category, based on the results of 40,000 consumer survey results (that’s a lot of peeps!).
I partnered with Stonyfield for the following post about giving back this holiday season.
The holiday season is a time to celebrate. It’s a time to reflect on the past year, thank our Father above for life’s blessings, and share with those who are less fortunate. When I was little, my mom taught me the importance of paying it forward to other children who didn’t have gifts under their tree like I did.
This post about a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme birthday party features items from Oriental Trading Company, which I received at no cost.
I’m allllll about reusing and repurposing. When Little Man started showing interest in Mickey Mouse, I started having flashbacks to Bear’s 2nd birthday party – a Minnie Mouse theme. If you remember, I went through this whole to-do about how the theme HAD to be red Minnie, not pink Minnie, which was nearly impossible to find.
Well, all that searching paid off, because I was able to reuse a majority of the decorations from her 2nd birthday for Little Man’s 2nd birthday party – a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme.
Minted provided my with Christmas cards at no cost to facilitate this post. This post contains affiliate links.
In a world of instant, there is one thing that I will always hold near and dear to my heart that isn’t just a “send” button away – Christmas cards. Sure they take effort to make and days to send/arrive, but to hold that printed, physical card in my hand is priceless and a very important part of the holiday season.
