Special thanks to Gymboree for the holiday looks featured in this post and for extra incentives.

It’s the most wonderful time of the yeeeeear! Bear may have had us listening to Christmas music for the past 10 months (there’s never an “off season” for holiday music in her mind), but now is the time to start celebrating the season! To kick it off, we partnered with Gymboree to create a #OneBigHappy family holiday look.

Ashley traded Prada for pacis in 2012 when she became a member of the elite club of motherhood. She is married to her high school sweetheart of nearly 15 years and together they have two toddlers – “Bear” and “Little Man.” She spends her days as a marketing professional and nights writing this blog. In her [not so] spare time, she enjoys reading trashy tabloids, large glasses of buttery chardonnay, and shopping clearance racks.

Getting Ready for Fall with LuLaRoe

I received samples from LuLaRoe to facilitate this post.

LuLaRoe Leggings Review - Irma

Legging season is fast approaching. I’ve already started purchasing my fall wardrobe and can’t wait to lace up my new boots over my LuLaRoe leggings.

If you’re on Facebook, you’ve probably heard about LuLaRoe by now. If you haven’t, you’re in for a treat! LuLaRoe was founded by Deanne Stidham, a busy mother of seven looking for the best way to provide for her family. She began by selling end-of-season dresses, which prompter her to start her own clothing line and LuLaRoe was born. Read more

Secrets to Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale + My Picks

Splurging Days

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is Nordstrom’s the largest annual sale event of the year where customers can shop brand new pre-fall products at discounted prices for a limited time. It’s like a national holiday for me, up there with Christmas and Easter. I count down the days to when I can start shopping spending.

Last year I scored a pair of in-season Tory Burch flats for 25% off. That’s what I love most about this sale – it’s not seasonal leftovers, it’s NEW fall items rolled out on sale (and then the price goes UP). Strange? Yes. Amazing? Yes. Read more

LeBron is Bringing Back the Dad Cap

This post contains affiliate links.

After waiting 30 years for a championship in Cleveland, there was no doubt that I would be at the Cavaliers Championship Parade yesterday. We watched Kyrie jump on a truck, JR prancing around with no desire to locate his missing shirt, and LeBron parading in a Bentley with his wife, 2 sons and adorable baby girl.

What caught my eye was that LeBron wasn’t wearing a Cavs hat, but a 6 panel unconstructed claspback cap. Read more

Stonyfield Greek Yogurt Parfait

Summer. It’s almost here. It reared its warm head a few months back, then cruelly reverted and shed snow on us last month. Whyyyyy?? But now that we’re in June, I think it’s here for good (“think” being the operative word).

The warm weather has always inspired me. It inspires me to eat greener, breathe deeper and refresh my wardrobe. Read more

Footwear, Friendship, and Dairy-Free Sweets

Thanks to Jambu for providing the shoes featured in this post.

Spit-up-is-the-new-black-jambu

It was a brutally hot day. As I took the elevator up to the seventh floor, I shook with anticipation. I’d just landed my first internship with a major publication. As the elevator doors opened, I was greeted by a staff member who showed me around. I toured the office and placed my briefcase (my mom said I needed to look professional) on what would be my desk for the next three months.

Next to it sat the bubbly, energetic, passionate (and sometimes red-pen happy) editorial assistant who would be my mentor for the summer. While intimidated at first, it only took us a few weeks before we hit it off and formed a friendship that is now 9 years in the making. Read more
