NüRoo Pocket Keeps Baby Close #DuewithBaby2

I received a NüRoo Pocket at no cost to facilitate this review.

Skin-to-Skin was one of my favorite times with my daughter. The moment she was born, I placed her directly on my chest. It was pure comfort, pure love. It’s one of the things I look most forward to when my little man arrives.

The mom-duo behind NüRoo fully understands the benefits of Skin-to-Skin. They found that coming home from the hospital to active families didn’t allow for the time to lay with baby Skin-to-Skin, so they came up with a solution – the NüRoo Pocket, a top that offers mom and baby that special bonding-time while providing coverage AND mobility.

NuRoo-baby

Since my little man isn’t here quite yet, I had to improvise. Yes, that’s a Cabbage Patch in the NüRoo above.

This top goes on like a blouse and can be used with babies up to 15 pounds. The fabric is super soft (it feels like the fabric used in performance apparel) and I love that it’s adjustable (by Velcro) to accommodate a shrinking postpartum body and a growing infant.

NuRoo-details

This product is perfect for baby #2. I can just image running after my daughter once my son is born and feeling guilty that I’m missing that special bonding time with him. But I don’t have to worry about that thanks to this awesome invention.

This product comes with a support belt that provides additional support for baby. It’s adjustable by Velcro and doubles as back and belly support both pre and post-delivery. And it’s nice and plush, like a mini pillow.

NuRoo-beltThe NüRoo Pocket is like a carrier and top all-in-one. It retails for $60 and is available in either teal or black (I prefer black – go figure). It’s important to note that this top is intended for single-term use only and is not to be passed on, consigned, or used with subsequent babies.

I did do a lot of skin to skin with my first son and plan on doing that with my second. It just might be a little harder because I’m chasing a toddler. Just feels weird but I’m sure I’ll master it soon enough! I love the fact that this goes on just like a shirt and is very soft against the baby’s skin.

This is perfect for those first few weeks. I would be nice to have a couple of them so you could wash/rotate. It can be kind of a pain to have to put a sling on, but if you are wearing a shirt, it would make things easier, especially if you have another older child to care for.

O this sounds ammazing!! I am having my 3rd at the end of August and I had some well horrible luck with a flood so hoping for some luck! I had a baby carrier with my 1st but I didn’t really like it it was to bulky and uncomfortable I didn’t even use it for my second. I love how the baby is so close and the extra bonding is something I think all mamas crave as much closeness as we can get to our baby and having an amazing but extra hyper autistic 5 year old and a 3 yr old running around being able to know she’s secure and I can have my hands free well that’s amazing!!

This would have been awesome for when my baby was in the NICU. I hated trying to use a button down shirt and having to change while there, feeling like I was super exposed. It would have been great to tuck her in while wearing a “normal” shirt. And to know she couldn’t roll away!

This is super cool! Something that is a bit more fashionable than a wrap carrier specifically for new baby skin-to-skin. Great idea!

This has to be one of my favorite things you have recently reviewed. So neat! I love that it keeps baby so close and is easy to use. This would be handy for me as a soon to be mom of 2!

This is very cool. I’m wondering, though, if it works with plus size moms?

I wish I have known about this before my baby. I loved to have him close to me but it was tiring. Definitely a nice gift for anyone or for baby #2 🙂

This is such a great idea! I think it is very important to keep baby close and to have skin to skin contact as much as possible! There are so many healing and touching benefits to this! I also love the look of it, I would definitely love to wear my new baby girl in one of these!

This sounds like a great product, especially for any moms with preemies or NICU babies! Thankfully, all of our kids have been full term so far. Baby #5 due in a couple months. 🙂

I was just about to say I had a few friends that had nicu babies and this would’ve been great but the person ahead of me said something similar. Nicu babies love to kangaroo care and skin to skin a lot so this would be awesome!

I love everything about this. I love the comfort, freedom, and bonding it gives you as well as the fact that it’s adjustable via velcro.

We loved doing kangaroo time with our oldest daughter! How amazing they make a shirt that carries the baby. You can still get kangaroo time in while chasing after your other child. I love this!

I love this idea! My second son is due in November. My first will only be 19 months and he is SO energetic that I know I will need to have BabyBoy2 in a carrier all day, every day. I love that not only is this a safe, hands free option but that it offers valuable & precious skin-to-skin. Thank you for your part in the giveaway!
