I’ve been following Susan Meier Jewelry for a few months on Facebook, and every time I see a post showcasing their jewelry, I begin to drool and immediately click through to do some online browsing. So when they offered me a few pieces to sample, I was thrilled to take them for a test drive.
Susan Meier Jewelry, based in Philadelphia, is designed to fit with the unique and personal style of each woman. Susan (designer) and Allyson (creative director) are not only business partners, they’re sisters! Inspired by her time in Greece, Susan proudly makes each piece by hand from natural materials. She turns rough cut gemstones, freshwater pearls, leather, gold vermeil and sterling silver into wearable art.
My favorite piece (currently) is the Quartz Line Necklace. I just love how delicate, yet modern it is. At 18″ long, it features rough cut white quartz (it’s not rough on the skin) on an oxidized sterling silver chain. This was the perfect compliment to the maternity dress I wore for Easter Sunday. It had a deep-V neckline and the necklace was just the right length. And it has such character since each stone has its unique shade, shape, and pattern. I love the combination of white and dark grey on this piece. It’s so versatile and it’s that one piece that completes the simplest, and most extravagant, ensembles.
Another really beautiful piece from Susan Meier Jewelry is the Wavy Link Necklace. It also has an 18″ oxidized sterling silver chain, but this necklace features a free-form pendant with a gorgeous (and large) freshwater pearl. Can you believe this piece is less than $50?!
I love the high quality of Susan Meier Jewelry and that it’s affordable. Necklaces range from $38-$135, earrings from $36-$40 and bracelets from $38-$64. “We are inspired by our customers’ individual style and the way they pair their own pieces with our jewelry,” says Susan and Allyson. “At Susan Meier Jewelry, we love mixing and matching our pieces.” They provide pairing suggestions on the product pages of their online boutique.
The gals at Susan Meier Jewelry have generously offered one reader a Wavy Link Necklace!
